Hum Chale
Ctrl Alt Delhi's debut album, "Hum Chale," is a masterful and versatile narrative of a complete emotional journey. The album opens with the hopeful, acoustic title track "Hum Chale," setting the theme of a life-changing journey. This journey's protagonist is introduced in the carefree, funky optimism of "Manchala," a free spirit who is suddenly struck by the beautiful confusion of a new feeling in the groovy, Ghalib-inspired funk-rock anthem "Dil E Naadan".<br /><br />
The story deepens with the intimate acoustic track "Parchhaiyaan"; as the protagonist travels, they are haunted by "shadows" of their beloved, realizing through this absence that they are in love. This newfound realization gives them the courage for the sweet, hopeful plea of "Keh Do Na". The love is requited, and the album bursts into a celebration of partnership with the upbeat "Yun Saath Do" and the joyous, all-encompassing funk-pop of "Har Pal Aaj Kal". The high of the relationship then settles into the deep, intimate devotion of the acoustic ballad "Tere Bin".<br /><br />
